Town of Runners is continuing its international summer tour with a number of screenings in the USA. We are delighted to announce that the film has been selected as part of the World Bank Africa Film Series. It will be shown in Washington DC on Thursday 26th July at the World Bank’s Preston Auditorium, just minutes away from the White House.
The event will include a panel discussion with Jerry Rothwell (Director), Dan Demissie (Producer), Patricia E. Ortman (Executive Director, Girls Gotta Run Foundation) and Donald Bundy (Human Development Network, The World Bank).
Entry is free, but please reserve a place here.
After its debut in the capital, Town of Runners will reach New York City (Cinemart Cinemas, Forest Hills, August 2nd) and Houston, Texas (Sundance Theater, August 7th - a fundraiser on behalf of Ethiopia Reads, a charity that supports the construction of libraries in Yirgacheffe and Bekoji).
These screenings were arranged in conjunction with Dogwoof’s Pop-up Cinema platform, which allows people and organizations to show Dogwoof Global film for the benefit of local communities. If you’re interested in organizing a screening of Town of Runners please check out the Pop-up Cinema website.
