'Tesfa' means hope in Amharic.

The Tesfa Foundation expands opportunities for children and youth where the necessary resources to build self-reliance are inadequate. The strengthen families and communities in ways that make for sustainable networks to support children and youth properly.

THE TESFA FOUNDATION

The Tesfa Foundation is working with the education outreach linked to Town of Runners outreach, beginning with the project to create a library and comuter lab for young people in Bekoji - see The Library Project.

The Tesfa Foundation has had a long association with using sport as a development tool. Team Tesfa is a track-and-field program for youth in Ethiopia. We provide safe housing, nutrition and education for young women who are homeless and vulnerable. We provide vocational skills for young adults.
